Support on the Web
If you need the kind of support I have needed, you can find some of it here. I can't imagine where my kids would be without this type of support.
- Gifted Homeschoolers Forum
-
A web resource for gifted homeschoolers. They also have an
email list.
I originally joined this when they first spun off some other list, then left for a while.
- Homeschool Diner
-
"A full menu of homeschool resources." I know Julie from various lists over the years. She has a kid like mine.
- Uniquely Gifted
-
No 'twice exceptional' resource would be complete without a link to this website. You could get lost in
- Homeschooling with Chronic Illness
-
An e-mail list specifically for homeschooling parents who also are struggling with chronic illness, because the need to deal with both issues seems inseparable. If you are dealing with this special situation and would like some support, this might be the group for you.
- The TAG Project
-
A small website and collection of email lists. Probably some of the oldest gifted lists on the web.
- The Upside Down School Room
-
A website that sells curriculum aimed primarily at homeschooling families with twice exceptional kids (based in Canada). It includes a lengthy list of some of the absolute best websites, books, and other resources for the homeschooling community in general, but particularly for families homeschooling special needs kids and/or twice exceptional kids. Even if you do not intend to buy a thing, this website is well worth surfing.
- Hoagie's Gifted Education Page
-
"THE" web portal for all things gifted.
